Sports & Competitions

Whether you are an athlete wanting to start competing or a community member looking to become a coach, get involved as a Unified partner, or simply looking for ways to connect with the Special Olympics Oregon program near you, it all starts here.

Where Sport Means More

Through the power and joy of sport, we focus on and appreciate all that our athletes can do. When that happens, attention to their disabilities fades away. They become more involved in their communities. And they explore new ways to show who they really are. We serve children and adults from age 2 – 108 living with intellectual disabilities in every hometown across Oregon – and cost is never a barrier as programs are free to the participants. Check out what’s happening in your backyard.

Competition

If you’ve ever been an athlete, parented one or even cheered for your favorite team, you know all about the emotions, stakes and lessons of competitive sports. To uphold the integrity of sport, we adhere to official rules and regulations.
