National Police Week
Every year in May the nation celebrates National Police Week to honor the service and sacrifice of the great men and women who serve our communities to keep the peace and uphold the law. This year from May 10 to May 16 the Special Olympics Oregon athletes and staff have been celebrating members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) who work tirelessly to fundraise and promote inclusion year-round.
We want all police officers in the state of Oregon to know just how much they mean to our organization. So to try and do just that, on behalf of all Special Olympics Oregon one of our very own athletes, Board members and Athlete Input Council Chairman, Shawn Hinz, made the video below thanking the many individuals that devote their time every year to our organization out of the kindness in their hearts. Thank you and happy National Police Week!
