Marques Latson
Introducing Marques Latson a Multnomah County Athlete from Portland.
Marques has competed in basketball, track & field, swimming, and bowling. Marques states, “Special Olympics has given me an outlet to connect with others, have fun competing and do what I love at the same time.
I am proud with just being able to compete after dealing with the seclusion of the pandemic, seeing friends, building new relationships and getting the opportunity to win.”
Marques is grateful for the support he receives from his mom and says, “I admire my Mom. She has always been there for me and my brothers and has taken care of us no matter what. She’s my hero.
Marques is preparing for USA Games by working on his diet and participating in water aerobics and swimming to help with exercise. He is also working at his job at Fred Meyers as a clerk, parking lot attendant and greeter.
This is Marques’ first USA Games and with the dedication and spirit he has, he is sure to make Team Oregon proud.
