Polar Plunge Volunteer
We're Freezin' for a Reason! Polar Plunge is a fun-filled event that challenges individuals to step out of their comfort zone by jumping into an unforgettable experience that directly impacts the lives of Special Olympics Oregon athletes. Funds raised through the polar plunge help provide over 5,000 Special Olympics Oregon athletes access to sports, activities, and community.
Date & Location: Plunges will be held in 7 different locations around the state February-May. In addition to the Plunge, some locations will include a 5K fun run and even a Pond Skim at Mt. Hood Meadows!
Volunteers will have fun interacting with our plungers and runners while helping with registration, greeting & escorting runners and plungers, cheering on participants and assisting with a variety of event logistics. We will have key volunteers on-site to give you training and support, working together to make it a fun and memorable experience for all.
Volunteers should be 12 years and above to participate; volunteers under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by a registered adult volunteer.
