Introducing Joe Harvey
Joe is the current vice president of Program and Volunteer Services at Special Olympics Oregon and will be attending USA Games in the role of Assistant Head of Delegation. Joe has been a coach previously with Special Olympics Illinois, teaching adaptive horseback riding, or ‘horse riding’ as this Brit would call it!
Joe has his life changed daily at Special Olympics, surrounded by the hardest working staff and volunteer crew he has ever met, who work to provide the best program of sports to those with Intellectual Disabilities that is possible. He is unendingly proud of our athletes, watching them compete in their chosen sports and overcoming obstacles they never knew they could!
A lover of eSports and a professional horseback rider, Joe is passionate about USA Games and has attended previously, as supplemental staff in 2018 in Seattle.
Joe is extremely excited for the experiences that Team Oregon will share together and cannot wait to bring some medals back to Oregon.
