Each year the Polar Plunge challenges thousands of brave people from around the state to jump into the icy water and raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon.
Polar Plunge is a part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run movement. To further the mission of Special Olympics Oregon, the Law Enforcement Torch Run carries the torch, representing the “Flame of Hope”, and dedicates itself to the goals of continually increasing awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes across the state. Simply put, Polar Plunge would not exist without the dedication, efforts and service of Oregon Law Enforcement.
The Polar Plunge is a fun way for individuals, schools and businesses to come together and support the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon. All funds raised go to supporting the programs and events of more than 12,000 athlete participants statewide.
