Introcuding Cindy Miguel
As Team Oregon’s bowling coach at these Games, Cindy Miguel brings a life’s worth of experience to her trip to Florida. She is excited to experience many “firsts” together with the group and anticipates bringing those memories home to share with and inspire Oregon’s own programs.
Cindy joined Special Olympics in 1991 as a local program administrative assistant in Clackamas County – and grew through many other roles, arriving at a staff position at the State office where she has been very effective in coordinating much of Team Oregon’s participation.
She enjoys art, theater, singing in a community choir, kayaking, martial arts, hiking and dance.
She states that Special Olympics has been a part of many of her life’s milestones and helped teach her how to be a parent, especially with her daughter, Katherine who is a Special Olympic athlete in athletics, basketball and bowling.
She can’t wait to train and coach the athletes in Bowling at USA Games and looks forward to cheering them on and helping them achieve new dreams, skills and successes!
